Okay, fine, I'm a pushover when it comes to handsome apostates and dogs. You caught me. Are you happy now?

Very.

Well, so long as you're happy.
[Not that Hawke's unhappy, of course.]

[he'll press a kiss to the corner of his mouth for that.]
I suppose Pearl isn't too bad for a dog.

Now that
is
a concession, coming from you.
[And one that makes
Hawke
very happy. Anders might be able to tell.]

She's still a dog.
[That was the point! But it's also as much as he'll give because ew drooling monsters.]

Yes, I know.
[Now it's Anders' turn for a cheek-kiss.]

[Anders smiles, and then drops his head onto Hawke's shoulder. Can they just stay right there all day and not go back?]
You'll have to wash her later. She's full of salt and sand.

[They could, except at some point Hawke really does want to wash off the sand that's sticking to
him.
Also, sex.]
So are we.

We're less... wriggly.

She's exhausted. I doubt I'll have much trouble giving her a bath.
[He wouldn't have much trouble giving her a bath even if she weren't, but, semantics]

[What do you do with a pet that sleeps all the time? That sounds boring!]

They're adorable when they sleep. With their little paws tucked under their heads.

[...Actually Anders' voice when he talks about cats is kind of fascinating. Hawke may have to explore this more.]
...So, like Pearl, then?
[Because right now she's asleep with her chin on her paws, and still pressed up against Anders' thigh.]

[he glances down at her.]
I suppose.
[though cats are still cuter.]
You find them in the strangest places, too. There was a missing stone by the fireplace in the hall at Vigil's Keep. Pounce really liked that nook.
