[He smiles a little wider, and doesn't mind at all if Hawke keeps him there for several moments longer than he'd planned. He'll just lean into him and hope his stomach stays quiet.]
[No one ever said this was a healthy relationship.]
After I feed you.
[Okay, well, they're both upright now, so it's time to wander out of the bedroom and into the kitchen...though not before grabbing Anders' hand to make sure he comes too.]
[It'll take Hawke longer to fix something for the both of them to eat than it will take Anders to eat just one apple.
...And once in the kitchen he starts looking into cupboards and the fridge to see what there is to be had, and pulling things down to set on the counter.]
[But for now: munch munch munch. They're going to have to buy more fruit soon, he's not used to being able to eat it every day, and he might be taking advantage of the fact.]
[Fruit is another great aspect of this ship. They should take advantage and figure out how to make pies.
In the meantime, he's dumping the core in the trash and setting about getting them plates and glasses of water. And he's being accompanied by Maleficat now. He's helping.]
[The smell's got Hawke's mouth watering too, never fear. Luckily it only takes about six or seven minutes for the chicken to cook thoroughly. No big deal if most of the veggies are still crispy, right? He doesn't chop them very small anyway...that takes too long.]
Is that a cat on the table?
[Not that he really cares too much about the cat being on the table, it's just that it's taking up precious space where they could be putting food.]
[Smiling, Hawke starts in on his own food, though he keeps half an eye on Anders; it's always satisfying to watch him actually eat, since he still seems to resistant to the idea most of the time.]
I can't even imagine what you would do with a quarter of the spices they have here.
[He's pretty sure some of them wound up in the food served in the Hightown mansion, but as he wasn't doing any of the cooking at that time, there's no way for him to know for sure.]
And here I thought being spoiled was considered a bad character trait.
[Even abominations need food sometimes, especially when they used up all their energy and more in just a few hours. He keeps forgetting just how draining it is to draw on his magic for too long. Until the exhaustion actually hits, that is.
So yeah, he'll eat properly today. If Maleficat lets him.]
I'm more surprised the other spices are so cheap. Like salt.
I don't think there's anything wrong with being spoiled, as long as you know how to appreciate it.
[Being consistently spoiled from a young age tends to create entitled and insufferable adults. Having nothing from a young age and then stumbling into something in adulthood seems to encourage appreciation rather than entitlement.
...And Maleficat had better let him eat properly. Hawke will be keeping an eye on that one. B|]
It's probably so affordable because it's so common and uncultured.
[He's always saying that, but... he does. He really does. Hawke is so insistent about taking care of him, and it's so hard to accept. But it does feel good, too, when he lets it.
He smiles. And pushes Maleficat down again, before he can steal a piece of chicken off his plate.]

[Yeah, that sounds a bit unhealthy, Hawke.]
You'll have to show me, then.
[He smiles a little wider, and doesn't mind at all if Hawke keeps him there for several moments longer than he'd planned. He'll just lean into him and hope his stomach stays quiet.]

I think I'll eat an apple while I wait.
[yeah, he's that hungry.]

[And Anders grabs an apple, leaning against the counter to eat it. He'll watch Hawke, too. He's always watching Hawke.]
no subject
[Anders is hungry, this can't take too long! So there's a large frying pan being set onto the stove to wait for chopped chicken and veggies.]
no subject
[But for now: munch munch munch. They're going to have to buy more fruit soon, he's not used to being able to eat it every day, and he might be taking advantage of the fact.]
no subject
[Anders can eat all the fruit he wants, acquiring more is not a problem! And Hawke is now chopping up some fresh veggies to fry with chicken.]
no subject
In the meantime, he's dumping the core in the trash and setting about getting them plates and glasses of water. And he's being accompanied by Maleficat now. He's helping.]
no subject
Despite that, though, the sounds and smells of sizzling veggies and chicken are soon apparent.]
Did you set out the last of the bread?
no subject
I'll grab it now.
[Well. The cat is taking up the space on the table where the bread would go. Oh well, he can chase him off in a moment.]
no subject
Is that a cat on the table?
[Not that he really cares too much about the cat being on the table, it's just that it's taking up precious space where they could be putting food.]
no subject
[Whoops devolving into baby talk here, even as he picks Maleficat up with one hand and sets the bread down where he was with the other.]
You can sit in my lap while I eat.
no subject
[He looks over to see Anders snuggling up on the evil cat. Which explains the baby-talk. Welp.]
You're talking to the cat.
[He might be just a tiny bit disappointed. Just a tiny bit. >.>]
no subject
[he might be leering a bit, although he's still petting the cat.]
no subject
[Return leer is go]
[Also, serving dinner now. Gotta get Anders' stomach to stop making all those horrible noises!]
no subject
It smells wonderful, although I'd eat almost anything at the moment.
no subject
[Here is Hawke placing a plate with a big heaping serving of chicken and stir-fried veggies in front of Anders like a good husbando.
And sitting down across from him with a similarly filled plate for himself.]
With garlic and salt and everything.
[Wooooah, watch out, it's Messere Fancy Chef over here~]
no subject
[He's half-teasing, but half serious as well. He smiles at Hawke and immediately grabs a fork to start eating.
It's a good thing it's all chopped up already, because he needs his other hand to keep Maleficat off the table. He'd like some of that, too!]
Have you seen the amount of spices they have at the market here? Salt and nutmeg are about the only ones I've even heard of.
no subject

Uncultured describes us well.
no subject
[He smiles when Anders smiles, even though he thinks Anders might only be smiling at the cat in his lap.]
It's hard to get more uncultured than a pair of scruffy, unshaven apostates, isn't it?
no subject
[He can smile at Hawke even with cats around, okay. It's a totally different kind of smile. He should be able to tell!]
You spend an hour in the bathroom trimming your beard, love. I don't think that applies to you.
