Champion had made friends with a couple of barn cats when we were still in Lothering. They'd chase each other around and nap together. He let them use him as a pillow.

[He'll do what's best for them, even if it's difficult.]

It would be easier if they do get along.

[Still teasing. Also, the bacon is now sizzling nicely, so Hawke starts cracking eggs and adding them to the frying pan]

Two eggs, I think. [he looks down at Pearl, still excitedly running around, and then back up at Hawke.] Do I seem like I hate her?

[He cracks two eggs into the pan for Anders, followed by two for himself.]

You're very good about tolerating her, though. [And really, from Anders? Pearl may disagree, but Hawke considers that to be more than good enough. <3]

She's just so... happy. [but he sounds apologetic now. He doesn't want Hawke to think he hates her.

And he might be taking things a little too seriously this morning.]

Should I feed her?

[Since Anders is close enough still, Hawke turns around briefly to kiss his cheek.]

I think she'd like that. Remember to make her sit, first.

[Just because she's tiny and adorable doesn't mean she gets away without any training!]

[Anders goes to check the fridge for food, finding one of the boxes Hawke keeps food for Pearl in. Then he grabs a bowl from the cupboard.

Although he's not very good at this 'training'.]

[He stares down at her. She jumps up and down at his feet, yipping exictedly.]
