[Oh, did you have to mention that Hawke? He'd like to stay like this forever, but his stomach, previously as groggy as the rest of him, is suddenly reminded that it's actually painfully empty, thank you, and why hasn't he eaten since breakfast?

It growls, low, but also painful, especially since it's so unexpected.]

No. I believe I'm the one using you for that.

[...but he still doesn't want to get up.]

...Wow, I felt that.

[Cuddles will just have to wait until later! Anders needs to eat!]

Don't tell me, let me guess, you haven't had anything to eat since breakfast.

I had no time for a break.

[As if Hawke hasn't heard that excuse before. They really had been busy that morning, though. And once Anders made it home, he'd just passed out.]

And our pets are conspiring to keep us in bed.

You never have time for a break.

[Same excuse as always, sigh!

But there's really nothing that gets Hawke to stop moping quite as quickly as taking care of Anders. So that's a good thing, at least!]

I'll go see what we have in the kitchen.

[...In just a minute. He'll get off Anders and go into the kitchen in just a minute. >.>]

Maybe you should come by for lunch more often.

[Because much as he loves his work, he loves seeing Hawke even more. He wouldn't mind being dragged away so much then.

At the lack of movement, though, his stomach growls again.]

You know, love, since I'm home early, we have the rest of the afternoon and the entire evening together.

[Normally he'd keep up the cuddling, too, but his stomach has it in for him now, and is adding nausea to the list of discomfort. He really did drain himself today.]

Maybe I will.

[He already comes by as often as whatever monthly mission he's working allows, but there's always room for improvement, right?

And okay, fine. At the sound of Anders' stomach growling again, Hawke begins to slide off of him (moving slowly enough to give Pearl time to vacate his back without getting hurt), and the bed.]

Well, when you put it like that...

[He offers a hand to Anders with a mischievous smile and a suggestive brow waggle]

Maybe it would make me happy.

[He smiles a little, and then carefully moves Apawstate off him, placing her on the pillow instead. She gives him a highly disapproving look, because she'd been comfortable where she was, thank you, but Anders is already letting Hawke pull him up.]

We'll have to find a way to fill all that time.

[Oh, he can lean in for a quick kiss now.]

Anything to make you happy.

[Up to and including crawling around in the shithole under Darktown looking for...crystallized shit. Welp.]

I can think of a few ways to do that.

[And they all start with the letter "S" and end with "ex". Now who's got the one-track mind? Also, quick kisses are nice, but lingering ones are better. You didn't really think you were going to get away like that, did you, Anders?]

As long as you're happy as well.

[Yeah, that sounds a bit unhealthy, Hawke.]

You'll have to show me, then.

[He smiles a little wider, and doesn't mind at all if Hawke keeps him there for several moments longer than he'd planned. He'll just lean into him and hope his stomach stays quiet.]

[No one ever said this was a healthy relationship.]

After I feed you.

[Okay, well, they're both upright now, so it's time to wander out of the bedroom and into the kitchen...though not before grabbing Anders' hand to make sure he comes too.]

[He'll twine their fingers together, more than happy to follow. And not just because he really does need that food.]

I think I'll eat an apple while I wait.

[yeah, he's that hungry.]

Eat two.

[It'll take Hawke longer to fix something for the both of them to eat than it will take Anders to eat just one apple.

...And once in the kitchen he starts looking into cupboards and the fridge to see what there is to be had, and pulling things down to set on the counter.]

I'd like to help you cook as well.

[And Anders grabs an apple, leaning against the counter to eat it. He'll watch Hawke, too. He's always watching Hawke.]

I'm not planning on anything really labor intensive.

[Anders is hungry, this can't take too long! So there's a large frying pan being set onto the stove to wait for chopped chicken and veggies.]

Then I'll set the table.

[But for now: munch munch munch. They're going to have to buy more fruit soon, he's not used to being able to eat it every day, and he might be taking advantage of the fact.]

That sounds good. This shouldn't take too long.

[Anders can eat all the fruit he wants, acquiring more is not a problem! And Hawke is now chopping up some fresh veggies to fry with chicken.]

[Fruit is another great aspect of this ship. They should take advantage and figure out how to make pies.

In the meantime, he's dumping the core in the trash and setting about getting them plates and glasses of water. And he's being accompanied by Maleficat now. He's helping.]

[And Pearl is helping Hawke in the kitchen by being tiny and fluffy and underfoot.

Despite that, though, the sounds and smells of sizzling veggies and chicken are soon apparent.]

Did you set out the last of the bread?

[That smell is just making him feel even hungrier. His mouth is essentially watering by this point.]

I'll grab it now.

[Well. The cat is taking up the space on the table where the bread would go. Oh well, he can chase him off in a moment.]

[The smell's got Hawke's mouth watering too, never fear. Luckily it only takes about six or seven minutes for the chicken to cook thoroughly. No big deal if most of the veggies are still crispy, right? He doesn't chop them very small anyway...that takes too long.]

Is that a cat on the table?

[Not that he really cares too much about the cat being on the table, it's just that it's taking up precious space where they could be putting food.]

He's just curious what we're doing. Aren't you? You're just a curious little kitty.

[Whoops devolving into baby talk here, even as he picks Maleficat up with one hand and sets the bread down where he was with the other.]

You can sit in my lap while I eat.

That would make it a bit difficult for you to eat, wouldn't it--oh.

[He looks over to see Anders snuggling up on the evil cat. Which explains the baby-talk. Welp.]

You're talking to the cat.

[He might be just a tiny bit disappointed. Just a tiny bit. >.>]

You can sit on my lap after we eat.

[he might be leering a bit, although he's still petting the cat.]

...Well that's alright, then.

[Return leer is go]

[Also, serving dinner now. Gotta get Anders' stomach to stop making all those horrible noises!]

[he'll sit down, then, and place Maleficat in his lap. And true to his kitty nature, he immediately has two paws up on the table to see.]

It smells wonderful, although I'd eat almost anything at the moment.
